March 2025

March 1, 2025

Bob wanted me to remind everyone that although we closed the retail portion of our business, we still have items for sale. Check out our webpage to see what’s available. Also, our mailing address has changed to Suite 103. (Good thing he mentioned it, so that I could change it in our letterhead!)

Now that the work stuff is out of the way, we can talk about the important stuff, which in March is St. Patrick’s Day celebrations! There are always plenty of those, but we’ll highlight just a few starting with the Winchester Celtic Festival on the 8th. This is a free, family-friendly event sponsored by Old Town Winchester and Ravenwood Faire. There will be Irish dance as Celtic Rhythm School of Dance is performing at 3 p.m.

Round Hill’s Williams Gap Vineyard is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Wine & Beer Dinner on the 14th. The menu includes Brunswick stew followed by house-smoked corned beer and cabbage with either wine or beer. Dessert is Bailey’s cream puffs covered in chocolate ganache and stout syrup. Yum! Because of the alcohol, this event is only for those aged 21 and over.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate on the day itself, St. Patrick Catholic Church in DC has a special mass in the morning—usually with dancers from the O’Neill James School; details will be posted at https://www.saintpatrickdc.org/events/st-patricks-day. At 6 p.m. Celtic Rhythm will perform for about an hour at the Dulles Town Center Mall; this is another free event for which one can get a bird’s eye view by watching from the 2nd floor.

However you choose to celebrate, we hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Month!
