Now that our retail space is closed, were you thinking you missed the opportunity to buy a “Wow!” chair? Think again! The gorgeous Walnut Rocker below is available—just in time for the holidays. Can you imagine yourself rocking in it during these long, winter nights while listening to music, reading a good book, or holding a pet or child on your lap? If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying the “Wow!” chair, this piece of art is handmade and phenomenally comfortable, so comfortable that the first thing everyone says when they sit down is, “Oh, wow!” It’s made without screws or nails using traditional techniques. Please contact Bob if you think it would be a perfect gift—for a loved one or yourself.

There will be other opportunities for holiday events in and around Bluemont, starting with the 6th Annual Christmas Market at Dirt Farm Brewing on the 1st from 11 until 4. Vendors will have diverse goods such as jewelry, woven goods, ceramics, pickles, and flavored butters. Best of all, there’s no charge for looking!

If you’re looking for an evening out, consider the Holiday Wine Dinner at the Bluemont Vineyard. This includes an opportunity to see the Lighting of the Vines during which 10,000+ twinkling lights illuminate the vineyard. And most of think there’s a lot to do just to decorate our houses! See the Bluemont Vineyard website for details and to make reservations.

Similarly, reservations are required for Henway Hard Cider’s Breakfast with Santa, which will be held on weekends this month. The all-you-can-eat buffet at this family event means it may be prudent to get the Santa photos before eating if recent experience with a two-year old is any indication. Pups are also welcome at this event.

We do have some special hours this month. We’ll be closed on December 7th and Bob won’t be available on the 6th. We’ll close at 2 p.m. on the 24th and remain closed until the 26th. Similarly, we’ll also close at 2 p.m. on the 31st and remain closed until January 2nd.

With best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
